Everything Has Beauty

We see thousands of images every day, and many compel us to remember them for ever – but unless we take a photograph it is unlikely we will see those images again.

From a scientific perspective, creativity is your ability to think of something original from connections made between pre-existing ideas in your brain (i.e. your imagination). Being able to transfer your creativity into something tangible (a photograph for example) requires good camera skills (i.e. your technical abilities). Without imagination you cannot see great images, and without technical competence you cannot record and present the images. Imagination is key, it is unlikely strong technical competence alone will deliver pleasing “emotive” outcomes. Likewise, a great image will struggle to work if it is not in focus, or not exposed correctly, or has camera shake etc.
